Sarah Van Arsdale, David Turner: Arnold Newman Master Lecture Series

The Arnold Newman Master Lecture Series on Monday, August 12 will feature talks from Sarah Van Arsdale followed by David Turner. Sarah Van Arsdale is the author of four books of fiction and the book-length poem, The Catamount. A winner of the Peter Taylor Prize for the novel and a finalist in several international and national writing contests, she serves on the board of the Ferro-Grumley Award in LGBTQ Fiction. She is on the fiction faculty at the Antioch -LA low-residency MFA program and teaches at New York University; she has taught creative writing at Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv, Sarah Lawrence College, the University of Vermont, Vermont College, and elsewhere.

Photographer David Turner is best known for his 25 year career in NYC working for top magazines like W Magazine photographing the latest fashions to a beautifully lit portrait of designer Ralph Lauren to a still life of the newest fragrance. Turner as of late has been teaching location lighting at Rochester Institute of Technology, the premiere photo school, and continues to enlighten and amaze young photographers everywhere.

The lectures are open to the public and will take place at the Rockport Opera House. We hope to see you there!
